Sawatch
As I started exploring around Colorado after moving here in 2000, the Sawatch Range was a place I continued to return to weekend after weekend. I still enjoy opportunities to return to this area frequently, and now I can take that spirit of adventure with me wherever I go (or wherever she takes me).
Sawatch started out life as a Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road, but quickly would being a journey to become a totally custom build.

I had already ordered up quite a bit of stuff to throw on this, but it was tough to make an appointment to get things done until I had a truck...so a lot happens fast. Dealership pickup was the end of February. I was expecting a week or two later...but it was nice to drive it as Toyota sold it for a couple weeks.

Since I got the truck sooner than expected, and the shops were so busy, it was about a month between pick up and the matte black wrap at Pureblind Wraps & Graphics here in Denver. Now it was time to enjoy this for a day or two before dropping it off for a few days for the next round of changes.
Juniper Overland was nice enough to take a few in-progress shots while they worked on it. They were great to work with. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper with awning and privacy tent, Expedition Essentials 3TPAM, RedArc Manager 30 with TVMS (solar on the top of the camper too), Dickinson Marine Fireplace/heater, ARB ZERO 73qt fridge freezer, and a weBoost cell signal booster. Can't wait to see it in person!

And the time is here...time to go see it myself!
You might notice some new kicks on it, that's to pair up with the suspension upgrades. Went with a 285/70 17 BFG KO2 wrapped around Method 701 wheels. Went all in with the Icon CDEV suspension, OME rear springs for about 2-2.5" of lift and increased payload capacity.

Now she needs a trip to get under her belt, and I have ideas! From here I headed out to Colorado Springs and then over to Rampart Reservoir for a quick overnight, shakedown trip.

After a couple months, some other items that were on order (or under design) came in. Added in Goose Gear storage down the passenger side of the truck. Also ended up with some GP Factor molle panels on the camper door (to go with the fold-down GP Factor table), molle panels along the bulkhead, hot water for dishes and showers, roof rack (with 2 AluBoxes), MaxTrax and Expedition Essentials mount on the canopy., and last was a new grill insert by DBCustomz.
