This was the first real trip I planned for me and Sawatch. I was looking for multiple days, mostly on solid roads, to test out the camping setup. The truck has two separate functions I'm working on, one is the camping setup and the other is the off-road capabilities. This trip was to focus on the camping situation, and the ability to work while camping.
Reserved a campsite in Moab (Sun Outdoors Arches Gateway Campground) since I was leaving after work and knew I would be getting in late. A bit chilly in the morning, so started off in the camper making coffee and firing up the heater. Later found a good standing desk, got some work in then off to the Grand Canyon!
I was still (as I write this much later, things have changed) planning to attempt a pretty challenging running season, so wanted to be near the trailheads on the South Rim. Reserved a site in Mather Campground, so when I showed up I was able to check-in and relax a bit.
After a night in Moab, and two nights at the Grand Canyon, it was time for a long drive home. While my running was sub-par, the trip was a success. Hard to make it to the Grand Canyon and not have a great trip!
